Freetown, April 16, 2024 – The Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) announced today that multiple challenges in the energy supply chain are impacting their ability to provide adequate electricity to Freetown’s network.
In a statement released by EDSA, it is stated that, “Due to a number of unfortunate, concurrent challenges along our energy supply chain, we are currently experiencing difficulty in maintaining full power supply to the Freetown network.”
Residents of Freetown have been experiencing reduced power supply and distribution, a situation EDSA is urgently addressing.
“Our teams, along with other key stakeholders, are working tirelessly using all available resources to resolve these issues,” the statement added.
EDSA has extended an apology to the residents of Freetown for the inconvenience caused by the power shortages.
“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and promise to resolve the problem as quickly as possible,” the statement concluded.
The authority assures its customers that once the issues are resolved, normal power supply and distribution levels will be restored.
