State House, Freetown – July 7, 2025 Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio has announced a series of key appointments to prominent public institutions, aimed at strengthening governance and service delivery across critical sectors.
The nominations are subject to parliamentary approval where applicable.
In a public notice issued from the Office of the President, the following individuals have been named:
* Dr. Michael Johnny** has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT).
* Ms. Sally Yeama Myers has been appointed as a Board Member of the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank (SLCB).
* Paramount Chief Amy Tator Kallon Tibbie II has been appointed as a Board Member of the Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO).
The appointments were confirmed in a statement signed by the Press Secretary to the President, Yusuf Keketoma Sandi Esq., and dated Monday, July 7, 2025.
These appointments underscore President Bio’s continued commitment to inclusive governance and institutional reform, with a focus on experienced leadership and traditional representation in state-run bodies.
