Abubakarr Boxx Konteh popularly known as DJ Bozz, a high-ranking member of Sierra Leone’s opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party, has been extradited from Guinea amid serious allegations related to a recent coup attempt and narcotics trafficking.
Konteh, who serves as the APC’s Northwest Regional Organizing Secretary, was handed over to Sierra Leonean authorities at the Kambia border crossing, as confirmed by videos circulating on social media.
The Ministry of Information disclosed that Konteh was apprehended at a Guinean airport on March 25, 2024, while allegedly trying to flee to Senegal.
He is implicated in the failed November 26th coup and is suspected of being involved in the trade of Kush, a dangerous drug.
The extradition marks a crucial phase in the investigation, reflecting the gravity with which both nations are treating the offenses.
Konteh’s prominent political role within the APC adds a layer of complexity to the charges against him, signaling potentially wider implications within Sierra Leone’s political landscape.
