The National Secretary-General of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC), Lansana Dumbuya, has urged party members and supporters to prioritize the interests of the party over personal ambitions.
Speaking to a gathering in Makeni, Bombali district, Dumbuya dismissed false rumors circulating on social media regarding the party’s leadership.
He highlighted the importance of recommendations from the recent Tripartite dialogue, emphasizing their significance for the APC’s future.
Dumbuya also expressed gratitude to former President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma for his impactful contributions to Sierra Leone’s development, describing the APC as “a congress of people determined to change this country.”
In a related development, APC National Chairman Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray reaffirmed the party’s dedication to fostering positive change in Sierra Leone.
Addressing supporters in Bombali, Mansaray lauded the legacy of Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, noting his deep connection to the district.
Mansaray called for unity within the party, emphasizing his commitment to a fresh approach in repositioning the APC. He assured aspiring candidates of a fair selection process but warned against divisive ambitions.
In his address to the youth, Mansaray discouraged drug use and urged Bombali stakeholders to expedite the completion of the APC headquarters in Makeni by establishing a technical committee.
He concluded by calling on party members to build on the achievements of Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, reinforcing a collective vision for the APC’s future.
