Freetown, 21 September 2026 – The Community Relations Department of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP), in collaboration with the Family Support Unit (FSU), has sensitised pupils of Logos Academy in Moriba Town on sexual-related offences and the dangers of drug abuse.
The sensitisation, held on Monday, 21 September 2026, focused on the harmful effects of synthetic drugs, including Kush, Tramadol, Ecstasy and other related substances. The pupils were also educated on the importance of avoiding violence and making responsible choices.
The pupils were encouraged to promptly report cases of sexual-related offences to the police and to stay away from drugs and activities that could negatively affect their lives, education and future.
Teachers from both the primary and secondary sections of the school commended the Sierra Leone Police for the initiative and described the awareness programme as valuable. They appealed for more police sensitisation programmes to be conducted at the school in the future.
