Freetown, Sierra Leone — July 18, 2025 – The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Ethics Committee has officially unveiled the list of candidates who have been cleared to contest in the highly anticipated SLFA elections slated for August 2, 2025, in Lungi.
Leading the charge for the presidency are Babadi Kamara and Umaru Bah, both of whom have successfully met the eligibility requirements to vie for the top seat in Sierra Leone’s football governance.
Notably absent from the list are incumbent SLFA President Thomas Daddy Brima and Aminata Bangura, both of whom were disqualified from contesting in this year’s election by the Ethics Committee.

The Ethics Committee’s announcement was formally signed by Abu-Bakarr Sheriff, Chairman of the SLFA Ethics Committee.
The football community in Sierra Leone will now look forward to what promises to be a decisive and competitive election as the candidates prepare to present their visions for the future of Sierra Leonean football.
