In a major development for Sierra Leone’s football infrastructure, Thomas Daddy Brima and the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) have launched an expansive artificial turf project across pitches in the country.
The project aims to upgrade football facilities and enhance player development.
Among the sites receiving the turf upgrade, the image below revealed the Academy at Kingtom, showcasing the scale and progress of the initiative. Similar activities are underway in Port Loko, Bo Coronation field, and the Approved School in the Eastern part of Freetown.
The support from prestigious football bodies, including CAF Champions League, AFCON, CAF Confederation, and FIFA World Cup, has been pivotal in driving this transformational project.
The SLFA’s artificial turf initiative signifies a significant boost to Sierra Leone’s football landscape, signaling progress and development within the nation’s football communities.
