Sierra Leone has been recognized as one of the most generous countries in Africa, ranking sixth on the continent according to the 2024 World Giving Index.
The report, released by Africa Facts Zone, highlights the country’s strong culture of giving, solidarity, and community support.
Leading the list in Africa is Kenya, which ranks second globally, followed by The Gambia in fourth place worldwide.
Nigeria, Liberia, and Guinea also rank ahead of Sierra Leone, reflecting a strong tradition of generosity across West Africa.
Other African nations making the top 10 include Ghana, Ethiopia, Chad, and Libya, showcasing the continent’s spirit of generosity on the global stage.
Sierra Leone’s inclusion in this list underscores the nation’s commitment to helping those in need despite its economic challenges.
