The Sierra Leone Police have apprehended two businesswomen accused of rebranding expired drugs, including antiretroviral medications.
According to the police report, Memunatu Bangura and Aminata Kargbo were arrested in Waterloo while removing labels from HIV drugs and replacing them with Panadol labels.
The report further reveals that these expired drugs were also relabeled as new stock, misleadingly marked as suitable for use for the next few years.
