Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio has appointed Abdulai Masiyambay as the Justice of the Supreme Court.
The appointment, as outlined in Section 135 (2) of the Constitution of Sierra Leone 1991 (Act No. 6 of 1991), is subject to parliamentary approval.
In the official correspondence, signed by Julius F. Sandy, PhD, Secretary to the President, Bangura is instructed to liaise with the Clerk of Parliament to schedule a meeting with the Committee on Appointments and the Public Service of Parliament for the evaluation of his appointment.
Upon successful approval by Parliament, further details regarding the terms and conditions of his appointment will be communicated to Bangura.
Prior to this appointment, Abdulai Masiambay Bangurah, was the Chairman of Political Party Registration Commission.
