Freetown – The Office of the President has announced a series of high-profile appointments by His Excellency Brigadier (Rtd) Dr. Julius Maada Bio.
According to a statement released by Emmanuel A.R. Gaima, Secretary to the President, the following individuals have been appointed to serve in strategic roles:
1. Lieutenant General Peter K. Lavahun has been named Ambassador to Nairobi, Kenya.
2. Brigadier General Idara Bangura will assume the position of Chief of Defence Staff for the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces.
3. Major General Fred D. Alpha has been appointed Deputy High Commissioner in Abuja, Nigeria.
These appointments are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen diplomatic ties and enhance the effectiveness of Sierra Leone’s armed forces. The appointees are expected to bring their expertise and leadership to these critical roles.
