In a recent meeting, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine and President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone engaged in discussions encompassing various developmental issues.
President Zelenskyy began the conversation by extending his congratulations to President Bio on Sierra Leone’s election to the United Nations Security Council for the term 2024-2025.
He expressed his anticipation that Sierra Leone would continue to support Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The leaders delved into the Ukraine Peace Formula and its recent gathering in Malta, exploring ways to bolster support for Ukraine’s vision of peace across African nations and regional platforms.
President Zelenskyy also took the opportunity to inform President Bio about Ukraine’s humanitarian initiative, “Grain From Ukraine,” and extended an invitation for him to participate in its upcoming second summit.
In response, President Bio commended President Zelenskyy for Ukraine’s “Grain From Ukraine” initiative, which is aimed at contributing to global food security and alleviating world hunger.
President Bio expressed his commitment to seeking strategic partnerships for Sierra Leone’s flagship initiative, “FEED SALONE,” with the goal of increasing agricultural productivity and achieving food security and sovereignty in Sierra Leone.
