Waterloo — A 20-year-old man identified as Emmanuel has died by suicide at Manoh Corner in the Lumpa area of Waterloo, his family confirmed.
Emmanuel’s mother, Baby Sesay, told reporters her son had been away from home for more than three months before his body was found.
She said Emmanuel had told her that he was “tired of suffering” and had expressed intentions to take his own life. Sesay described the family as devastated by the loss.
Local residents expressed shock at the news and offered condolences to the grieving family.
Community leaders urged anyone struggling with emotional or financial pressures to seek help.
