Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella to Represent President Bio at the COP28
Chairman, Presidential Initiative for Climate Change, Renewable Energy and Food Security, Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella is set to represent President Julius Maada Bio at this year’s COP28 as head of delegation.
This was made known by the Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone – Abu Dhabi.
The Embassy presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates and convey that due to recent breach of security in Sierra Leone, President Bio will not be able to attend the COP28 as earlier communicated.
“I am further honoured to convey His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio’s consent to appoint Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella Chairman, Presidential Initiative for Climate Change, Renewable Energy and Food Security to represent him at the COP28 as head of the Sierra Leone delegation,” the embassy stated.
The other members of the delegation will include:
1. Mr. Jiwoh E. Abdulai Minister of Environment and Climate Change
2. Mrs. Francess Piagie Alghali Deputy Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation
3. Mr. Karmoh K. Conteh Executive Officer- Office of the President
Attached are copies of their passports.
“In view thereof, it would be appreciated if the esteerned Ministry would extend the usual courtesies to the delegation appointed by His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone,” they added.
