Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has urged Sierra Leoneans to safeguard the nation’s hard-won peace as the country joined the world in marking International Peace Day.
In a statement reflecting on Sierra Leone’s post-war journey, Dr. Jalloh reminded citizens that the harmony enjoyed today was achieved through sacrifice and must never be taken for granted.
He emphasized that lasting peace depends on continued national commitment to democracy, the rule of law, and economic transformation.
“The government remains steadfast in delivering a better future for all Sierra Leoneans,” he said, pledging ongoing reforms to create opportunity and stability.
Calling for unity under the banner of “one country, one destiny,” the Vice President urged every citizen to embrace inclusive governance and work together to build a prosperous and peaceful nation for generations to come.
