Freetown, Sierra Leone – The Sierra Leone Immigration Department has issued a warning about a fraudulent website, https://www.visasierraleone.com, falsely claiming to provide Sierra Leonean visas.
“This fraudulent platform has caused significant concerns, potentially damaging the credibility of the Sierra Leone e-Visa System,” the department stated in a press release.
Officials emphasized that the only legitimate platform for Sierra Leone visa applications is the government’s official website: www.slid.gov.sl, which redirects users to the authorized evisa.sl portal.
“The public is urged to exercise caution and avoid using this fake website for visa applications,” the department added, highlighting the risks of engaging with unauthorized sources.
The Immigration Department reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a secure and reliable visa application process for travelers and pledged to address any fraudulent activities threatening its systems.
