Earlier this morning, I accompanied my beloved husband, His Excellency
Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio and First Lady Fatima Bio departed for the United Kingdom, following a kind invitation extended to him to deliver the keynote address at the Oxford Africa Conference 2025, scheduled for May 24th and 25th at the Blavatnik School of Government.
President Bio will speak on the theme: “Changing Narratives: Vision, Action, and Transformation of Africa.”
This prestigious conference, hosted by the Oxford University Africa Society (AfriSoc), brings together scholars, professionals, and leaders of various schools of thought to discuss Africa’s development and celebrate the continent’s diverse successes.
President Bio is expected to use this opportunity to share Sierra Leone’s story and connect with others who are passionate about Africa’s future.
