Freetown, January 19th, 2024 – In response to circulating rumors on social media, Colonel Sheik Sulaiman Massaquoi, the Acting Director of Sierra Leone Correctional Service, has categorically denied any resignation from his position.
Colonel Massaquoi addressed the issue, stating, “My attention has been drawn to a social media post which says that I have resigned my position as Acting Director of Sierra Leone Correctional Center. I wish to make it explicitly clear that the information is not only false and baseless but intended to smear my character and paint me in a bad light.”
He urged the general public to dismiss the baseless story, assuring them of his steadfast commitment to the oath he took to defend the country and protect the constitution of Sierra Leone.
“My loyalty to the democratically elected President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Julius Maada Bio, is unwavering,” Colonel Massaquoi emphasized.
