Police in the Tankoro Division have arrested two women in Koidu City as part of an ongoing operation targeting individuals linked to the sale and distribution of Kush.
The arrests, carried out on Friday, 21 November 2025, followed the recent capture of a suspected drug dealer known as Black Gate. After his detention, officers launched a follow-up operation to track down others believed to be connected to his activities.
During the sweep, Hawa Moigua, a resident of the Resettlement community, was arrested after officers allegedly found her in possession of substances believed to be Kush.
According to police sources, she admitted obtaining the drugs from Kadiatu Gborie of the Jericho area, who was later arrested in a separate operation the same day.
Both women are now in police custody assisting investigators with further inquiries. Police say the arrests mark another significant step in their effort to curb Kush distribution across Koidu City and the wider Tankoro Division.
