Magburaka, December 5, 2024. – Police apprehended Wara Kanu, a resident of Agriculture Road in Makali Town, following an anonymous tip regarding unlawful possession of ammunition.
Acting on the information, officers from the Operations Team of the Magburaka Division arrested Kanu after discovering three small cartons containing fifty-two live rounds of single-barrel shotgun cartridges. The suspect was unable to produce a license for the ammunition.
A subsequent search of Kanu’s residence revealed an additional three cartons, also containing fifty-two live cartridges, all of which were determined to be possessed unlawfully.
Wara Kanu, along with the seized ammunition, is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
