The family of Victor Onie Williams has expressed heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support following his tragic passing.
Known to his loved ones as Effion, the young man was celebrated for his accomplishments in fashion, entertainment, and as a third-year law student at Fourah Bay College.
In a statement, the family shared that the kind words, memories, and condolences from friends and well-wishers have brought some comfort during this incredibly difficult time. They also requested privacy as they mourn and remember Victor as a cherished son, grandson, and nephew.
The family highlighted Effion’s positive impact on many lives, both within and beyond their immediate circle. However, they urged the public to be respectful on social media by refraining from spreading false rumors or speculation about his death.
“Effion was always loving and respectful, and his absence has left a void in our hearts that will never be filled. He deserves to be mourned with dignity and respect,” the statement read.
The family invited those wishing to pay their respects to attend a funeral service scheduled for Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Living Water Ministry in Congo Cross, starting at 1:00 PM.
While mourning his untimely passing, they find solace in the memories shared with him and the legacy he leaves behind.
They expressed deep appreciation for continued prayers and support, concluding with a heartfelt plea: “Effion is dead. We beg of you, now, let him rest in peace. There is a GOD.”
