Mohamed Kamara and Mustapha Fredrick Conteh have been remanded at the Male Correctional Facility following their initial court appearance on Friday, September 19, 2025, for allegedly possessing an unlicensed firearm.
The duo appeared before Magistrate Mamakoh Saio Kallon at Pademba Road Court No.3, facing six counts related to unlawful possession, custody, and control of firearms.
According to police reports, the accused were found with a single-barrel shotgun bearing serial number 133477 at Mothaim Village, Freetown, between 1st January 2023 and 19th May 2025.
No plea was taken during the proceedings, as the prosecution, led by Inspector T. Macfoy, requested an adjournment due to the absence of key witnesses.
Magistrate Kallon denied bail, citing the gravity of the charges, and ordered that both men be held in custody pending further hearings.
