Waterloo, 08-09-2023 – In a heart-wrenching incident, 38-year-old Alicia Mummy Kargbo, a dedicated public health student at WACAP College in Waterloo, has been taken into custody at the Waterloo Police Station following allegations that her administration of Oral Rehydration Salt (ORS) resulted in the tragic loss of Mabinty Kamara from Lumpa, Waterloo.
This distressing event has left two others, Safi Kanu and Kadia Kabia, who also consumed the same ORS, in critical, life-threatening conditions, necessitating their immediate treatment at Rokupa Government Hospital.
The lifeless body of Mabintu Kamara has been transferred to Connaught Hospital in Freetown, where investigations into the circumstances surrounding her untimely demise are expected to take place.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the departed soul of Mabintu Kamara, and we earnestly wish a swift and full recovery for the injured individuals.
