In response to the recently issued public notice by the Ministry of Information and Civic Education regarding updated curfew timings, the Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority (SLCAA) has issued a statement outlining the impact on airport operations.
This announcement comes from the management of the Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority on November 27, 2023.
According to the SLCAA, airport activities will now adhere to the revised curfew times of 6am to 9pm.
The authority assures the general public that it is actively collaborating with individual airlines to ensure the smooth movement of passengers.
“We strongly encourage departing passengers to reach Lungi Airport before 9pm, in alignment with the curfew enforcement,” states the SLCAA.
To accommodate arrivals during the curfew period, the SLCAA will implement additional measures. Passengers are urged to stay informed by contacting their respective airlines and travel agents for regular updates. Emphasis is placed on complying with security forces’ directives, particularly upon arrival at Freetown International Airport (FNA).
