The incident occurred amidst ongoing construction efforts by Chinese GCCIC Construction Company, with the stadium reported to be approximately 85% complete, leaving only 15% of work remaining.
The collapse, which was precipitated by heavy rains, brought down the back wall of the stadium, near the Grey Bush area, directly across from the cemetery.
