Renowned Civil Society Activist Joseph Abass Sannoh, also known as Joseph Sannoh of HEAL-Salone, has been summoned to appear before the Disciplinary Committee of the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM).
The summons comes in response to an alleged case of examination malpractice during the recently concluded 2022/2023 Second Semester Examinations on July 17th, 2023.
Mr. Sannoh, a vocal figure in the realm of civil activism and the Executive Director of HEAL Sierra Leone, was reportedly apprehended for engaging in examination malpractice. This incident transpired at the IPAM New Building, Second Floor, Room 209, and was captured by a CCTV camera. Following his apprehension, Joseph Sannoh was required to complete an examination malpractice form, adhering to the university’s established protocols for addressing such matters.
Sources indicate that Mr. Sannoh attempted to evade consequences by offering a substantial sum of Ten Million Old Leones as a bribe to the administration. However, his efforts were met with resistance, and the university administration remained steadfast in their commitment to upholding academic integrity.
The Disciplinary Committee has issued a formal notice to Joseph Abass Sannoh, bearing the identification number 30074 (MBA) postgraduate, along with other individuals implicated in examination malpractice. They are all summoned to a disciplinary hearing scheduled for August 11th, 2023. The hearing will take place at the Deputy Vice Chancellor’s Conference Room (4th floor) in the IPAM New Building, commencing at 11:00 AM. This development underscores the institution’s dedication to maintaining the standards of academic honesty and ensuring a fair and just educational environment.
