Freetown, March 19, 2025 – The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) has formally requested the leadership of the All Peoples Congress (APC) to respond to a complaint filed by Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden against Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray and other APC executives.
In a letter addressed to APC Secretary General Lansana Dumbuya Esq. and dated March 19, 2025, the PPRC confirmed receiving Dr. Blyden’s complaint and urged the party to provide a written response.
“The Commission has received a formal complaint from Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden OOR, a member of your party. In light of this, the Commission requests that the party looks at the complaint and provides a written response. We appreciate your prompt attention to this issue,” the PPRC stated.
A copy of Dr. Blyden’s complaint has been forwarded to the APC leadership for review.
Speaking to AYV, Dr. Blyden confirmed filing the complaint on March 18, 2025, citing concerns over the party’s leadership.
“Yes, I have filed a complaint against Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray and the APC leadership after exhausting all internal grievance mechanisms. However, this is not just about me—it has wider implications for the entire party membership. I cannot sit by and watch the current leadership take the APC back to the doldrums of infamy, so I have stepped in to save our party,” she stated.
The complaint, along with its attachments, reportedly spans 14 pages and outlines key grievances regarding the APC’s internal affairs.
As the PPRC awaits APC’s official response, the development is expected to spark further debate within the party’s ranks.
