Police are investigating the alleged murder of Salim Alie Dayeck, a Lebanese businessman, who was found dead at his residence along Hangha Road, Kenema, in the early hours of Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
Sub-Inspector Brima James Musa confirmed that a suspect is currently in custody and is assisting with the investigation.
While there are unconfirmed reports suggesting the victim may have been killed by one of his employees, Musa cautioned the public against speculation.
“We are still investigating the matter,” he said, urging patience until all facts are established.
This incident is the second alleged murder reported in Kenema within the past month, sparking growing concerns over security in the area.
Authorities have reassured residents that investigations are ongoing, and further updates will be provided as the case progresses.
