In a formal statement released today, H.E. Ambassador Maria G Harrison, Secretary-General of the Mano River Union (MRU), conveyed heartfelt congratulations to President-Elect H.E. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, 1st Lady Mrs. Katumu Yatta Boakai, and Vice President-Elect Honorable Jeremiah K. Koung on their successful election to lead the Republic of Liberia.
Ambassador Harrison also expressed commendation for the leadership of outgoing President H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah, acknowledging the National Elections Commission’s effective guidance under Hon. Davidetta Browne Lansanah.
She extended appreciation to the citizens of Liberia for their commitment to a predominantly peaceful electoral process.
The Secretary-General concluded with a resounding “Long Live Liberia, Happy Land! Long Live The Mano River Union!”
