Sierra Leone’s national football team, the Leone Stars, has unveiled a 25-man squad ahead of their highly anticipated AFCON 2025 qualifying double-header against Ivory Coast.
The matches are scheduled for October 11th and 15th, with the first encounter taking place in Ivory Coast and the second in Liberia.
Leone Stars head coach Amidu Karim faces a challenging task as several key players are sidelined due to injuries and fitness issues. Among the notable absentees is forward Musa Noah Kamara, widely known as Musa Tombo, who has been struggling with fitness and has missed crucial training sessions, casting doubt on his availability.
Additionally, midfielder Saidu Mansaray, also known as Malian, is out due to a knee injury confirmed by the team’s medical staff.
