FREETOWN – All People’s Congress (APC) presidential hopeful Mohamed Omodu Kamara, widely known as *Jagaban*, says he has sealed a $3 million agreement with a Chinese bus manufacturer to supply Sierra Leone with 16 modern 60-seater buses.
“During my recent visit to China, I finalized a $3 million deal with a Chinese bus manufacturer to bring 16 modern 60-seater buses to Sierra Leone,” Kamara announced on social media.
“This initiative will significantly improve public transportation across the country.”
He described the project as “a game-changer—enhancing access to healthcare, education, and jobs,” adding that reliable transport is “key to economic growth and national development.”
Kamara also highlighted the employment potential of the plan.
“The project will create jobs for drivers, technicians, and support staff, with training programs to build local expertise,” he said. “This deal reflects my commitment to practical, impactful leadership for a better, more connected Sierra Leone.”
