Kenema, Sierra Leone, 3 November 2023 – In a remarkable show of support for the Opposition All Peoples Congress Party (APC), Sheik Alhaji Mohamed “Omodu” Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, made a historic visit to the party’s new office in Kenema district. This visit marked the first time Jagaban had seen the office since the June 24 elections.
The APC had faced a significant setback when their previous structure used as an office was repossessed by its owner, former Vice President and Onetime Secretary General of the Party, Comrade Victor Bockarie Foh. Left stranded and in need of a new space, the party had been utilizing the private residence of the District Chairman, Mr Prince Kamara. However, with Jagaban’s intervention, the APC now has a dedicated office for both regional and district executives.
The visit by Jagaban was met with enthusiasm and gratitude from party members, who expressed their appreciation for his generosity and support. The new office provides a much-needed space for the party to conduct its activities and engage with the community.
During the visit, the task force responsible for organizing party activities made a request for motorbikes to aid in their operations. Jagaban assured them that their request would be fulfilled, emphasizing the importance of efficient transportation for effective party organization. In addition, he pledged to provide daily meals for the task force, ensuring their well-being as they carry out their responsibilities.
Jagaban’s commitment to the APC and his dedication to supporting the party’s operations in Kenema district have garnered praise from party members and observers alike. His efforts to provide a new office space and address the logistical needs of the task force demonstrate his commitment to the party’s success.
The APC, with both financial and moral supports from Jagaban, has been working tirelessly to strengthen its presence in Kenema district and across Sierra Leone. The provision of a dedicated office space will undoubtedly bolster the party’s ability to engage with constituents, organize events, and advance its agenda.
As the APC moves forward with renewed vigor, the party members in Kenema district expressed their gratitude to Jagaban for his unwavering support. With the new office and the promised provision of motorbikes, the APC is poised to make significant strides in its mission to serve the people of Sierra Leone.
