Freetown, Sierra Leone – September 9, 2025 – The Ministry of Employment, Labour and Social Security has issued a strong warning to the public against engaging with two recruitment agencies—Taju Holdings Recruitment & Travel Agency and Malador Traveling Agency—over alleged overseas job offers circulating on social media.
According to the Ministry, the agencies are promoting vacancies for bike riders, carpenters, welders, and housekeepers in Dubai, but they do not possess the required licenses to operate as overseas recruiters.
Officials noted that this constitutes a violation of the Overseas Employment and Migrant Workers Act No. 12 of 2023, which regulates legal foreign employment activities.
The Ministry emphasized that only duly licensed recruitment agencies are authorized to facilitate overseas employment for Sierra Leoneans, ensuring safe and orderly migration.
It cautioned citizens to verify the legitimacy of any recruitment agency before committing financially or otherwise.
“This serves as a clear warning—the full force of the law will be applied to individuals or agencies found exploiting or defrauding job seekers,” the Ministry stated.
