The Office of the Former President, His Excellency Ernest Bai Koroma, issued a statement today confirming that the ex-president has received an invitation from the Inspector General of Police in Freetown.
Former President Koroma is set to travel to Freetown to attend the invitation on Thursday, 7th December.
In response to the invitation, Former President Koroma stated, “I maintain an open mind and stand ready to support the police investigations to the fullest. Let the rule of law reign supreme in our democracy.”
Addressing the public, Former President Koroma appealed for calm, urging support for the police investigation and emphasizing the importance of due process in the legal system.
The former president remains committed to cooperating with the authorities and upholding the principles of democracy and the rule of law.
