The much anticipated dialogue between the All People’s Congress (APC) and the Bio-led administration has commenced this morning at the Bintumani Hotel in Freetown.
The meeting, which is facilitated by the Independent Commission for Peace and National Cohesion (ICPNC) SierravLeone and midiated by the African Union (AU), Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the Commonwealth, is focused on bringing the two parties together with the aim of putting an end to the current political stalemate in Sierra Leone.
The head of the mediating team for the AU and ECOWAS is the former Vice President of the Gambia, Madam Fatoumata Jallow Tambajang and the Commonwealth team is headed by Justice Amraphael Mbogholi Msagba (Rtd)
The opening ceremony, which is ongoing now at the Bintumani Hotel is attended by members of the diplomatic community, Civil Society Organizations, Security Sector heads, the Chief Electoral Commissioner, representatives of other political parties and the media.
The APC and the government delegations, headed by Dr Samura Kamara and Dr David Sengeh, respectively, are also present.
