Freetown, March 12, 2025 – The Deputy National Secretary General of the All Peoples Congress (APC), Hon. Osman Abdal Timbo, has resigned from his position, citing his desire to take a new direction in his political career.
In a letter addressed to the APC National Secretary General, Hon. Timbo stated that his resignation is effective immediately.
“My resignation from this role is necessitated by my desire to pursue new steps in my political journey,” he wrote. “I recognize that continuing in my present position may compromise the integrity of the Secretariat and the leadership’s commitment to ensuring a level playing field in the upcoming internal party elections.”
Timbo expressed gratitude to the party leadership and supporters for the opportunity to serve, emphasizing that his decision was made in the best interest of both his personal ambitions and the party.
“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to you and the entire leadership of the party, at all levels, for the invaluable support and opportunity accorded me to serve in this esteemed capacity,” he said.
Despite stepping down from his role, he reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC, stating that he remains committed to the party’s growth and success.
“As I transition into this new phase, my loyalty to the APC remains steadfast, and I will continue to work towards the party’s growth and success,” he assured.
