The University of Sierra Leone (USL) has announced an extension for online applications into its undergraduate programs for the 2024/2025 academic year.
The new deadline for acquiring application PiNs is now set for Friday, 15 November 2024. The extension applies to applicants for programs across USL’s three constituent colleges—Fourah Bay College (FBC), the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS), and the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM).
“We understand that many prospective students are still in the process of preparing their applications, so we are extending the deadline to ensure everyone has ample time,” USL stated.
For postgraduate programs, the application window remains open indefinitely, allowing prospective students more flexibility. USL’s online portal also supports applications for e-learning master’s programs in Business Administration, Journalism & Media Studies, Communication & Development Studies, and Public Relations & Marketing Communication.
Prospective applicants can obtain PiNs at various banks, including the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, Commerce and Mortgage Bank (CMB), Rokel Commercial Bank, and Union Trust Bank in Freetown and other regional branches. The cost is Le NLe500 for undergraduate courses and Le NLe600 for postgraduate courses.
The university also reminds applicants who had previously applied under “awaiting results” status to upload their results on the USL portal before the colleges reopen.
“Applicants who now have their results must update their applications to be considered for admission,” the university emphasized.
The university’s website, www.ust.edu.st, provides further details on entry requirements for different programs, colleges, faculties, and departments.
