In a decisive operation against drug trafficking, officers of the Mano River Division made a significant arrest on Sunday, June 1st. Led by Detective Sergeant 9523 Bangura John Alusine of the Malema Police Station, the team apprehended two suspects in Jendema Town, Sorogbema Chiefdom, for unlawful possession of controlled drugs.
The individuals—identified as Ansu Borsua and Isata Mambu, both residents of Jendema—were caught in possession of 974 cards and four full packs of substances suspected to be Tapentadol/Tramadol, a dangerous and highly regulated pharmaceutical drug.
The arrests followed actionable intelligence received by the police, highlighting the vigilance and operational readiness of the division’s officers.
