The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has announced that its much-anticipated Elective Congress will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025.
This crucial event will pave the way for the election of a new Executive Committee as the current administration’s four-year mandate draws to a close.
In a statement issued by SLFA’s Head of Media and Marketing, Ibrahim Kamara, the association reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a transparent, inclusive, and democratic electoral process that ensures the integrity and progress of football governance in Sierra Leone.
Today, Wednesday, June 5, 2025, marks exactly four years since the Thomas Daddy Brima-led Executive Committee assumed office.
According to the SLFA Constitution, this milestone officially concludes their term, setting the stage for fresh leadership to guide the country’s football administration.
The SLFA Electoral Committee is set to unveil the official roadmap and schedule of activities leading to the Congress. A press conference has been scheduled for 4:00 PM at the SLFA Secretariat in Kingtom, Freetown, where the details will be made public.
