Tuesday, 27 May 2025 — Sierra Leone – The Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ) has confirmed the tragic passing of veteran media professional David Williams, who died earlier today in a road accident along the Kambia Highway in Northern Sierra Leone.
Mr. Williams, a dedicated Camera Operator with the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC), was widely respected by colleagues for his commitment to the journalism profession.
The SLAJ Secretariat expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing Mr. Williams as a “brother and colleague” whose absence will be deeply felt across the media landscape.
“We pray that the Lord grants him eternal rest and mercy,” the association stated.
