Russian Government Offers Scholarships to Sierra Leonean Students 

Freetown, Sierra Leone – The Ministry of Technical and Higher Education (MTHE) has unveiled a remarkable opportunity for Sierra Leonean scholars as the Russian Government extends a generous hand by providing scholarships for the upcoming academic year, 2024/2025.

In an exclusive partnership with the MTHE, the Russian Government cordially invites aspiring students from Sierra Leone to apply for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Russia.

These educational pathways encompass a diverse range of technical and vocational education training, as well as BSc, MSc, and PhD programs.

Application Criteria

• For undergraduate courses, applicants must be under the age of 23.
• Master’s course candidates should not exceed 35 years of age.
• PhD applicants must be under the age of 40.
• Aspiring postgraduate students are required to upload a detailed study plan or research proposal, consisting of 500 words.

To submit applications, interested candidates are urged to utilize the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education (MTHE) website at www.mthe.gov.sl.

Important Dates

All completed application forms, accompanied by the necessary supporting documents, should be submitted through the MTHE website no later than the 24th of September, 2023.

Selection Process

It is important to note that only shortlisted candidates will receive communication from the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education regarding interviews. Furthermore, there is no application fee required from any applicant.
