In an official statement today, President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone announced the formal acknowledgment of the arrival of Madam Angie Kolie Nynemah Laverla Von Ballmoos, the designated Ambassador of the Republic of Liberia to Sierra Leone.
“Today, I received the letter of credence from the Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Liberia to Sierra Leone, Madam Angie Kolie Nynemah Laverla Von Ballmoos,” President Bio affirmed.
During their meeting, discussions revolved around the enduring diplomatic ties between the two nations, notably dating back to the establishment of the Mano River Union in 1975.
Furthermore, emphasis was placed on the alignment of Sierra Leone’s Big 5 Priority Agenda with President Joseph Boakai’s focal areas, encompassing youth empowerment, agriculture, tourism, technology, and innovation.
President Bio expressed the shared destiny between Sierra Leone and Liberia, underscored by their common border and similar historical narratives.
He reiterated his government’s unwavering commitment to collaborative efforts aimed at securing territorial integrity and advancing mutual interests.
President Bio extended his well wishes to Ambassador Von Ballmoos for a productive tenure, stating, “I wish Ambassador Von Ballmoos a peaceful and successful tenure in the Land That We Love, Mama Sa Lone.”
