In a significant appointment, President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone has selected Hadji Darboh to take on the role of Director-General at the National Minerals Agency (NMA).
An official letter addressed to Darboh conveyed the President’s decision, stating, “I have the honour to inform you that in accordance with Section 14 (1) of the National Minerals Agency Act, 2022, it has pleased his Excellency the President, Brig. (Rtd) Julius Maada Bio to appoint you as Director General, National Minerals Agency, subject to the approval of Parliamentary.”
Upon receiving parliamentary approval, which is expected promptly, the newly appointed Director-General will assume his duties at the NMA.
The National Minerals Agency operates under the supervision of Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources, playing a crucial role in the country’s mining sector.
