On Thursday, October 24th, a team of officers from the Regional Operations office in the Northeast Region successfully apprehended David Kamara, a resident of 18 Magbesseh Street, Magburaka.
The arrest took place at the main Makeni Lorry Park after investigators acted on intelligence regarding his suspected involvement in the sale of stolen property, including an old iPhone 7 Plus, an iPhone 6, and a black and white power bank.
The investigation began when Fatmata Conteh of Mabom Street and Foday Kalokoh of 6 Karay Street reported a break-in at their premises to the Criminal Investigation Department in Magburaka. The victims informed authorities that their property had been stolen.
During questioning at the Regional Operations Office in Makeni, Kamara confessed to stealing the items in question from the victims’ premises.
Police continue to investigate the matter.
