In a recent public notice, the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, in collaboration with the National Tourist Board, has announced plans to demolish structures violating beachfront operation policy along Lumley Beach.
The National Tourist Board’s General Manager stated, “Structures impeding beachfront views, lacking access to sandy beaches, including makeshift, shanty, and substandard constructions, will be demolished promptly.”
The demolition targets dwelling houses incompatible with tourism, concrete and storey structures, as well as facilities releasing waste onto the beach.
Operators along Lumley Beach Frontage are urged to comply with these directives, removing structures in violation of guidelines to enhance the beach’s aesthetic appeal.
