The Ministry of Communication, Technology, and Innovation has announced a significant achievement with the approval of a $1.4 million grant from the African Development Bank.
This funding aims to advance Sierra Leone’s tech sector by bolstering the development of the Fɛlei TechCity investment portfolio.
The grant will also support the establishment of a Startup Innovation Fund, designed to fuel entrepreneurial growth and innovation within the country.
Additionally, a specialized technical team will be recruited to work alongside the TechCity CEO, focusing on strategic initiatives and project implementation.
The Ministry emphasizes that this project will play a critical role in fostering innovation, encouraging startup expansion, and ultimately building a thriving tech ecosystem in Sierra Leone.
Through this funding, the Ministry hopes to position Fɛlei TechCity as a major hub for technological advancement in the region.
