In a significant stride towards their 2026 World Cup aspirations, Leone Stars concluded their second training session at the Mohameda Academy in Casablanca, Morocco, on Monday, November 13th, 2023.
The team, led by Head Coach Amidu Karim, is diligently preparing for a crucial showdown against Ethiopia in the World Cup Qualifiers.
The high-stakes match is set to take place on Wednesday, November 15th, 2023, at El-Abdi Stadium in El-jadida, kicking off at 8 pm Moroccan time and 7 pm Sierra Leone time.
Following the intense training session, Coach Karim addressed the players, emphasizing the importance of focus, determination, and effective communication on the field.
He reassured the team that their opponents, Ethiopia, are no different from them and urged them to make use of strategic tactics during the match.
“We have confidence in you and believe in winning this match by God’s grace,” Karim declared.
Looking ahead, the team is scheduled for another training session on Tuesday, November 14th, 2023, directly at El-Abdi Stadium, the battleground for their upcoming clash with the Ethiopian team.
Notable players such as Christian Dauda, Brima Jalloh, Steven Kelfala, Junior Charlie Bio, along with others, observed the rigorous training session.
The squad currently boasts eighteen foreign-based players and seven home-based players, all united in their pursuit of World Cup qualification glory.
