In the ongoing treason trial at High Court No 1, before Justice Komba Kamanda, Detective Mohamed Jusu took the stand today to provide crucial testimony.
Having previously begun his account, Detective Jusu informed the court of his acquisition of the accused individuals’ phones for forensic examination.
Confirming possession of the devices, Detective Jusu expressed his desire for their admission as evidence.
He presented each accused person’s phone, including a Samsung Galaxy Ultra 23 for Amadu Koita, a Samsung for Mohamed Jalloh, an iPhone 11 Plus for Rmatu Kamara, and an iPhone 11 for Alimatu Hassan Bangura.
Responding to inquiries, Detective Jusu outlined the methods used to access the phones, including obtaining passwords and seeking authorization from the National Telecommunication Authority.
His comprehensive report, signed and witnessed by Sergeant Sahr Foday Lebbie, detailed call logs, WhatsApp messages, and other evidential materials.
At the request of state prosecutor IA Jalloh, Detective Jusu began reading aloud the 35-page report, which includes call logs made between November 22-26 by the accused individuals Koita, Mohamed Jalloh, and Mohamed Woddie.
