In a recent social media update, the ex-President of Sierra Leone disclosed details about his questioning by authorities at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in connection with the November 26 coup attempt.
“This morning, I reported to the Criminal Investigation Department for interrogation. I have returned home after the interview with the police, who were professional in their interaction,” stated the former president.
Following the regrettable events of November 26, he traveled to Freetown in response to a police invitation.
Accroding to the former President, the interview is scheduled to continue tomorrow.
“As expressed in my public statements, I maintain an open mind, place my trust in due process and the rule of law to prevail. Profound thanks to all well-wishers for their support,” he posted on X, formerly Twitter.
