A daughter has been arrested after allegedly stabbing her father to death in Matheineh Village, Masimera Chiefdom, Port Loko District.
According to the Sierra Leone Police, Isata Conteh allegedly attacked her father, Issa Conteh, with a knife, stabbing him in the leg. The injured man was rushed to a nearby health centre for treatment but later died from his injuries.
Police quickly arrested the alleged suspect and recovered a knife believed to be connected to the incident.
The body of the late Issa Conteh has been taken to Connaught Hospital Mortuary in Freetown for a post-mortem examination.
Investigations into the tragic case are ongoing.
The incident has left the community in Matheineh and the wider Masimera Chiefdom in deep shock.
